Boutiques.....

I LOVE having boutiques!  It is such hard work getting ready for them.....finding, hauling, cleaning, fixing, repainting, repurposing, building, shopping (yah, that's not so hard -- hee hee), researching, pricing, arranging, and  blah, blah, blah!  But then it's 6pm and people start walking through the door oohing and aahing and loving all the treasures!  It is so rewarding to hear your comments and see your faces!  It makes it all so worthwhile!  I CAN'T WAIT FOR TONIGHT!

The Painted Porch is growing and it's due to all you wonderful people that support me...the "regulars" and the new ones! 

Thank you for your support and mostly, for your enthusiasm!  It does a gals heart good!

I totally love this piece!  When I found this cute little number with all those squares, I knew immediately what it needed.....a little more "weathering" and definitely numbers!  Which, by the way, add up to 45 (if you are OCD like me then I know you would have to know what they add up to, so I saved you the trouble!-- you're very welcome!)

It's Boutique Week!

We hope you've marked your calendars and are planning on joining us.  So much neat stuff and treasures to be found!  It's been kind of crazy around here for the past week or so--a little too crazy, me thinks! 

I have a beautiful bench that I am finishing up for a client today (took me longer than anticipated 'cause of all the craziness) and I can't wait to post some pics.  It was the crib for all 4 of her children.  How cool is that??? 

And then, I am trying to get a couple more pieces done for the boutique.  So many ideas and just not enough time to do them all!  See you in a few!

Harlequin Table--Can I get an "ooh-la-la?"

I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am of this table!  It was quite the experience getting it laid out and absolutely straight on the table.  As I (and DH) were trying over and over to get it perfect, I kept saying, "I will NEVER do this again!"  But you know what, now that it is done, I plan on doing it again on something else!

 I can totally see it decked out with an Eiffel Tower on top as a centerpiece with some beautiful old white/off-white china, soup tureen etc.  Or how about some red touches or any color for that matter!  It is just so TOTALLY cool!  I love the little drawer with the original hardware, too.  Perfect for storing linens, cutlery, or game pieces!

Just finished!  I loved it so much that I couldn't even wait to get it staged! 

And here she is in the store waiting for her new home!

"Blinged Out for Baby" Change Table

I LOVE this saying and couldn't resist adding it to my up-cycled baby change table!

Change tables are SO generic, and your baby isn't!  Why should he/she have to put up with a generic place to change the "nappies?"
